Anyone else arrived on HHO and was slightly bamboozled, by the jargon. Fear no more! With this lost I will explain all! Feel free to add others :)

ODE- One Day Event
PC- Pony Club
OH- Other Half

Right, I seem to have morphed into just general horsey terms, but ahh well.

IMHO - thought it was a type of feed or bit! 'In my honest opinion' what's the difference between an honest opinion and a normal one? Lol!!!

What I'd like to know is how to do the various smileys/emoticons as it seems completely beyond me, all I can manage is :D and :) not the purple wry face of the rolling eyes etc etc

Franch - Place much like France (deliberately misspelt in honour of an enormous numpty who couldn't spell France but liked to go on about it :D ) which must never be mentioned and from where cheap, unlucky horses get "rescued".

Ok help me with this one, often in soapbox 'Sweet Fa' or just 'fa' :/?

Actually sweet Fanny Adams, an impoverished girl who was murdered and cut up then left like she was nothing in the street, hence sweet FA, meaning nothing :( Poor girl.

Increasingly, YANBU or YABU, you are not being unreasonable or the opposite, nicked from a certain parenting forum which is apparently the equivalently scary place to HHO.

Also, Parelli, code name (IMO) for overpriced and 'reinvented' merchandise which claims to bond your horse to you with superglue-like properties. :)

Hahahaha honest and humble :-) ooops!!

I heard a story once about a chap on an email list (yahoo probably) and he kept writing these emails about how things were going badly, lost his job, his wife died, and at the end of each email he would put LOL and everyone was thinking he was completely mad until it was realised he thought LOL meant lots of love :D

^^^^ I heard that one too!!!!

wuu2 - took me a while to work that out too! Not saying what it is though in case I'm wrong lol (lots of love) !!! X

I would like to know this too. if anyone would be so helpful as to post a few it would be much appreciated!

Sweet FA on here was something to do with the live foal cam. Sweet Foal A... I can't remember this word :o .

As well as its usual meaning. ;)

When clicking on a thread that runs to ten pages or more please have this ready...

Brilliant! We used to have a version at work called b&ll***** bingo full of management speak for those excessively long, dreary meetings...or god forbid, workshops / awaydays
