sorry if already been done...
im going tomorrow with friends,4th time this year, whos been today and what purchases and any bargains??

No review as I am going tomorrow too :-) But I did wonder, as its my first time, what to wear. Should I dress up warm or is it like HOYS - absolutely boiling?

Having been for 3 other weekends, I actually wasn't that impressed at all. Apart from going specifically to buy rugs a lot of the stands were cheap tat that they can't get rid of in stores so they bring along to dupe people with a bit of extra cash.
A lot of the learning zone has gone completely like the riding simulator with feedback etc, and the main section (inside the building hip where the main arena is) felt quite sparse on the stand front almost.
Ah well maybe it will get better again, but it almost feels as if it has got too successful and is starting to go the same way as a lot of the old shows held at Stoneleigh Park.
Park in car park 5 as it is right next to the buildings, (for the people who know the show ground it is the old car park 2 next to/the gate before the main entrance from the Leamington Spa side).
Although as normal we met a lot of lovely people in the queue and I managed to get my hands on some botanica cream :-)

Loved it! We found lots of bargains - Amigo with neck for £25, polite range have seconds rail, fibre blocks 12 for £6 (but carrying back to car with rest of shopping was hard work!) The simulator was there but in a different place. Only disapointment was horsehealth stand-have picked up amazing bargains in previous years but very sparce today. Can't comment on the demos as we were too busy shopping!!

I have to say I prefer it a bit more sparce, have been going there for more than 15 years and it had become a victim of its own greed, felt a little more relaxing today. Got immense bargains from horse health so must have taken them all before you got there pstarfish! Lemieux xc boots £20, bandage wraps for £10, sheepskin numnah £40. Elsewhere got 2 sets of bandages for £10 and loads of haynets which we wangeled a deal on. Happy shopping :)

Great day. Loved lucinder fredericks with Headly Britania and her daughter. What a horse. The eilbergs were pretty good too although nit a patch on carl and charlotte but expected that. Shopping good really. Got a nice stable rug for £29 for a friend. Saw the simulator but didn't have time to have a go, it's down by arena 2. Wrap up warm. I wire layers which worked well.

I went for the first time - it was great! Will definitely go again :D

From what I saw of the queues for the demo's the VIP tickets we had were well worth it - close parking, no queues for the demo's & you didn't need to leave the arena. We saw both Eilberg Demi's, Lucinda & Geoff & Oli.

Shopping was good - best bargains out of any of the shows so far. I got a Parelli hackamore & 22 foot rope, Dublin belted body warmer, two fleece tops at £8 each, Sealskinz riding gloves, safety tie up point, three pairs of thermal riding socks, Hovis Diary 1&2 & saddle bag carrier. Oh and a big tub of treats for the horse.

My only complaint was the cold - I had country boots on with thermal socks and boot liners, jeans, long sleeved top, chunky knitted jumper, wax jacket, fur headband & mittens & was still chilly a lot of the time. But, I am a bit of a wimp with the cold!

Loads of bargains at horse Heath at 9.30am! I got a half lined sheepskin saddle cloth, sheepskin half pad, set of 4 brushing boots, under bandage pads, a gorgeous stud girth and set of 4 stable boots. From other stands I also got a headpiece for £2 and an anky cinnamon pad and bandages set (almost got Turkish coffee as well but stopped my self!). I was actually meant to be shopping tomorrow and doing demos today but I as I got there early I thought I'd pay a visit to the ultimate bargain stand there is-horse health!!

I'm going early again tomorrow so I will probably go to horse health again to see if they have unearthed any more bargains

Where did you get your hobos diaries from? I really want some!

The Bransby stand - for the life of me, can't remember which hanger that was in though?! Technically, they are a stocking filler from Mum - got to wait until Christmas to read them!

I'm so jealous of your HorseHealth bargains - I LOVE their stuff, but with a 14hh native their stuff is either too big or too posh & P would just look ridiculous in it! I just look enviously at people with posh horses buying it - I did get my gloves from there though, at least :D x

Thanks, I'll have a hunt tomorrow!

I'm really pleased with my bargains! Almost bought another half lined saddlecloth but decided cream sheepskin was an impractical colour!

I almost had to fight some woman in horsehealth! I had a set of the stable boots in my hand and she snatched them off me so I turned round and told her I was on my way to the till with them and was going to buy them. Cheeky woman!

I don't have a posh pony, I just buy him nice things and hope we look posh haha

So therein lies the lesson. Go to horsehealth first thing!! We didn't get to that point til early afternoon and the sale rails were very sparce with not a lot left. Great day still though.

It was ok, better than last year, but the crazy women with shopping trolly things got on my nerves. They kept on running in to my ankles! Also the food was expensive. Will take my own if I go again

I went last year on a Sunday for the first time and loved it, came away with plenty. This year felt like hard work! I really struggled to find a stable rug in my ponies size, I did end up buying a nice check Mark Todd stable rug which is lovely but no neck so still need to buy a combo to go underneath it anyway! I also bought a nice Thermatex rug which I've always wanted but I felt the colours were restricted for each size which was annoying and you don't always want to wait for them to send you one. We left quite early after we'd eaten etc. I'll probably go again next year but I 110% agree about people bringing along stock they can't sell, especially with the rugs it felt ALOT like that to me which was frustrating when their websites have so much more to offer. Horse Health was brilliant, plenty there but others? Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough!
