What did everyone think? I go most years and thought the demos were great as per usual but I thought alot of the shopping and stands were not as good this year and wondered if it was just me.

Did anyone else get VIP tickets? I saved up and treated my Mum and I and so disappointed I did - they were a total waste of money :(

We went this year (my 4th year of going) and thought the majority of the shopping stalls were great with lots of bargains to be had and the shopping was definately better than HOYS.

I spend £124.95 on:
6ft mediumweight turnout with free neck cover
Hook over door manger
Polite hat band
Pink Equine bling browband
Pink equine noseband with coloured padding
Fleece set inc 6ft fleece, headcollar, leadrope and bandages

Wow, you did do well! I liked the Pink stuff but nothing the right colour for a ginger horse :D

Or maybe I have finally reached saturation point of having horsey stuff and really do not need anything more. Cripes! I didnt think that was possible...

I had the pink padded browband with pink bling and pink padded noseband, my boyfriend brought a blue padded browband for his big palomino chappy

I hated the traffic problem and thought some easy handouts of the route out to the right would have sorted it. Loved Carl but as I cant stand long I didnt queue for any others. Shopping ok but crowded in some areas .I wanted an ordinary cottage craft type girth but couldnt find one.
Ordered simple system feed, mounted games equipment for my grand daughter for Xmas and some warm boots. Daughter got a lovely fine leather headcollar with name engraved on and stable plaque, plus ordered xc kit from nag rag for same child.

I liked the VIP tickets. There's no way I would have queued for anything. With the VIP we walked right in. I also thought the shopping was good. Got some good bargains!! And Carl and Charlotte were fab!!

They still made me q up and I had a VIP ticket!!! What did I miss!!
Traffic was terrible, went alternate route and got held up by poor people in a range rover who had broke down on the road.
Next. Year we have decided to stay overnight cos we travelled 3 hr to get there.

Thought the organisation of entering/paying was rubbish, when I asked why it was so slow I was told by the sleazy walky talky man that he only had 2 cashiers! there were thousands of people to get in and they must have known it was going to be busy!
I think people were sent a long way round in their cars to stagger the entry of people to go in.
I will also have a go about the price of food in there, £2.70 for the smallest tray of chips! I went hungry! but thought I would have a mars bar to keep me going, even that was double the price. If I go next year I will take a full picnic. Not enough information about the demos.but some very good bargains to be had.

How much were the VIP tickets? I won 2 ordinary tickets in a competition (thank you BRC ENews) so OH & I went on Sunday. First time for us. Thanks to the forumites who went on Saturday & posted about the traffic problems we took their advice & had no problem getting there. We saw Mary King, no Q, & when we went to Q for C & C the Q was right out through to the furthest end of the shopping village! OH was convinced we wouldn't get in as so many people were going round & joining Q at arena door but we did get in although didn't get seats together however I sat beside a lovely lady & we talked horses. OH not really into horses just tolerates them. Main arena events & shopping were great. 2nd arena not quite so good & I was very disappointed in Sylvia Loch but hey some days are good & some aren't, for all of us. I had a good day & would certainly go again.
