did your horse come with its showname or... how did you come up with it???

chester is Broadoak Chester cause of the stud and he coming with it anyway...

err mollie is Ultimate Excess because she is just ultimately excessive about everything she does, she goes nuts in the ring (well she has issues)she doesnt just spook its like ALWAYS the BIGGEST monster which is going to eat her up lol so yeh it just kinda suits her.. her owner come up with it one day n it stuck then the BSJA forms went off n nowthere is no turning back llol

now thats cool ...

there was this girl on the junior circuit a couple yrs ago (she on horses now) n hers all had a chocolate theme!!!

Sol was completly named by me (Fileders Diamond)as she was bought un-named
V had his racing name
RCD Danny's Chapel had his racing name and his sponsors name
and Maric had his reg. newfie name
smile.gif

Mine are.....

Dunlop - Storm Blaze (its his papered name)

Ellie - Kiss N Tell (papered name is Dark Kiss she had this after i reg her BSJA and i couldnt have Kiss N Tell, i prefer dark kiss but not paying massive fee to change her name. reg name was late as never reg weatherbys with a name as a foal and i needed name for when my foal was born)

Lux - havent come up with one yet (viking is his papered name, but it doesnt suit him, suggestions on a postcard lol)

my horses registered name is Nirvan as that is what was on her passport when I got her and is her registered BSJA name - otherwise she is known as muffin
grin.gif

Quinn (named after Michael Quinn who I bought him from in Ireland) I named him, as he was just called the chestnut horse when I went to see him
shocked.gif
is Quarrybank after the school my Dad went to & it began with QU
grin.gif

Spider is Boy Talk
blush.gif
(I've not used it yet!) and was named by his breeder, who I got him from, as he is by Hollyhedge Judder Boy & out of a mare called Double Talk.
cool.gif

Diva came with the name Direct Pleasure which we all thought was a bit rude! Thanks to another HHO user she recognised Diva and we discovered that she had been registered with BD as Dolce Vita II - which I love and have kept ever since
grin.gif

Blitz is Fuereblitz which means lightening strike in German and must be in relation to his distinctive white blaze which looks like a strike of lightening!

Maddie is Madon's Even Wiser - I choose it becasue she was out of More Wise by Matinee Du Matinee.

Oofa's racing name is Howaryadoon, and I'm not quite sure how he ended up with Oofa as a stable name!

Nemo's name on his passport is Spirit Du Petit Vivier, but we managed to register him with the BSJA as Nonstop which is his sire's name. A bit less of a mouthful!

He is unnamed on his passport. Thought for ages how to get a good name out of his parentage but with parents called Lozzie and Sesaro, my imagination ran dry.

He used to squeal with excitement when you asked for a transition to canter, when jumping or when bucking and his pet name was Bertie so we christened him Bert the Squirt.

Ellie was 'Chicka' on her papers, which I hated...I went away to think of loads of fancy names; she would have been Ava had my aunt not just bought a puppy of that name! Ellie just stuck somehow, it was simple, understated and pretty, and it suits her! Pretty soon she became Miss Ellie; when we went BSJA she was My Miss Ellie

Mine came without a passport. Dad wanted to call him utterly butterly but i choose Animatrix after the film.

My last horse was from belgium and was called witch van de varenstede (now that's a mouthful) although witch was often changed to begin with B at home.

The one before that came with racing name Akulite and my sister's also came from racing Soviet Hero.

LOL, hello! Now I know who you are...

Mine is Burr Oak, never asked his breeder where it came from as sire was Marsden St George and dam was Fortune.

Ours Just use the names from their studs!

Ginga- Templedruid Ginga
Ajay- Claylands Ajay
Teddy- Meepswood Cheiftan
Rory- Larklands Royalist
Richard- Larklands Regal Richard
Freddie- Millcroft Sebright
Bobbie- Telynau Gwendawme
Brook- Birkinbrook Copperman

and Pip is.......................Pip

.

stan came with his show name given to him by the stud, his is Ballinasloe hero.
Harvey came with one as well, it is Harvest moon II
Rian came with Centurian given to him by the stud.
Prides is Larkfield pride, we named him that because my mums care home business is essentialy supporting my ponies!

Mine was given her name by breeders (although she was un-passported) she's Firedancer - it suits her down to the ground as is fairly liable to throw in the odd firey temper.
Pony has stud name Uppacott Angelica.
Last TB came with Millbrook Derry VII from her then owner but with some DNA research weatherby were able to match her to a foal they had registered as Funny Money Two.

Rara - we have a Templedruid pony at out yard, is yours a section A?

Mine came as Hooray Henry, however there are lots of horses called that so he was registered on his passport as Captain Mainwaring (he has a ginger tash like the character in Dad's Army!).
Then due to a pic of him SJ and one of my friends declaring he looked like a flying cow, he became renamed The Flying Cow!! Always gets a laugh and he does better under it, so it stuck!!
grin.gif

Breeze is Fabreeze IV - She came with it
Ed is Fox Folly First Edition as he is the first foal my husband bought.
Tigs is Tiberius - He came with it!!
Nell is Disan Geisha Girl - She came with the posh name but was called Chanel which we though was a bit poncy so we shortened it to Nell
Ginny is Fox Folly Imagine - She is one of our first crop of homebreds and her name had to start with the 1st letter of the stallions name (Icon's Image)
Dexter will probably be Fox Folly Indestructable - Same reason as Ginny but also as his mother was scanned not in foal and was ridden until easter when we got suspicious that she was pregnant!! So he survived going XC etc in Mum's tum!!
Charlie will probably be Charlie Fox or Fox Folly Charlie - We bought him unnamed!!

Andy is 'Grey Murmur'.. grey because he is and murmur because he has/had a heart murmur when i got him..
my OH at the time thought that one up, it was way better than the ones i came up with..!!

Kiana (the old mare - on loan) is Double K, didn't do any aff stuff with her so she was never officially registered using that name.. so called because both our names begin with K.!!
smile.gif

Mine is Charterlines' Henry VIII - sounds impressive... I made it up. Charterline comes from the stud name I used when I showed rabbits, Henry is his stable name, and though the VIII bit after it made it sound better

Took a long time to come up with a name that was right for him, but he is now - Badly drawn boy.
Looks a bit like he was made from the spares box so I think this fits him well.
smirk.gif

Katy is Katy Jones, it's her racing name and although it isn't really my cup of tea, i am very superstitious! i prefer funny or clever names really, if i can think of them!
I am struggling to think of show names for the 2 three year olds, but have a while longer yet.
my big horse, Moosie, competed under the name XL, because he's so huge and so brilliant... but quite a lot of commentators called him "eleven".

Tally came with no name, So dad named him Talavera after the battle [beats me -.-]. He's Talaver II BE & BSJA.
Chester again had no name, and when we bought him we were staying in Wicklow, and the pub was called The Chester Beatty Inn and there was a dog called Chester who I adored so it all pointed to that. His show name is First Impression III as when we bought him our first impressions were WOW. Unfortunately now his character is developed it's "They bought that?!".
Peter was Peter Piper when we bought him, and he's Peter Piper BE & BSJA aussi =]
Chester is First Impression III BE, but he's only doing Eland Lodge intro on a ticket =]]x
