As title.
I have a few other horse mags from the 60's.

But which are your oldest copies of H&H and why do you keep them (reasons)
I keep this one from 1989 Its got the very advert my beloved mare was advertised in and I still send photos of her every year since I bought her in 1989 to her breeder.

I used to have piles of the very old ones which had all the classified ads on the front cover. I gave them away to a friend before I moved, and she still has them in a cupboard! The oldest one I kept was a 70s one with a family obituary in it - not a very cheerful reason but it was a nice obit! :D

Havent got any complete mags but I did used to cut out odd bits and Ive still got a couple of the cartoons from the late '70's. My favourite is one where 3 kids are pretending to be Caroline Bradley, Derek Ricketts et al and one of the ponies is pretending to be Hydrophane Coldstream!

A friend of mine once had a large stack of H&H from the 1930's. They were facenating [sp?]reading. I dont kmow what happened to them.

Oh I remember those, they were brilliant!! Perhaps they could make a comeback? A friend of my mother's cut one out and framed it for me after I managed to get swept off by an overhanging tree out hunting ... and something similar appeared in H&H the very same week!:o

I still have 3 copies of 'Gallop', it was a great mag but only ran for a year or two. Oldest copy of H&H is 1979 which I picked up in a Doctors surgery in the late 90's! I have a 1992 Horse & Pony mag as I won a competition in it.

I have a copy of H&H from the 70s. It was either when Princess Anne got engaged or married - head and shoulders picture of her on the front cover. Why I've kept it I've no idea. It's in my sewing cupboard - WHY???

I have a copy of a 1984 H&H magazine, not for sentimental reasons, but when my horse Ballymoss was stolen in 1981 we advertised at that time with his photo & details in H&H and then advertised again in 1984, as we had still not been able to find or trace him. I think the cover is in colour but the ads section is in black and white. Wish it was kept for a better reason though.

Gallop - what a great mag that was, shame it didn't last! My oldest copy of H&H is from 14 years ago (almost to this day!) that had my mare advertised for loan with view to buy - I only answered the advert as I didn't have enough money to buy my own horse so thought I could loan whilst saving and it also was a local telephone number - best phone call I ever made!! :-) The edition of H&H had Milton on the front and is safely tucked away in my dressing table drawer!

Dont have H&H but I do have a Pony Mag going back as far as May 2002 - my first ever horse magazine I brought :D (plus others that had my stuff printed in it!). Oldest Horse & Rider is December 2004 and Your Horse Issue 263 (from 2004) :D
