Would love to hear what your aims are for this year showing wise?
I think, seeing as last year was my first year showing, this year I want to start being more consistent, and possibly qualifiying for some smallish events :P
Thankyou ;)

Could I wlao be really cheeky and ask to see your before and after pictures-ie, Your current horses first time out showing, and how they are now?
:) :) :)

I want to do more shows this year (just come into some money so getting a horsebox :D WOOP!) and do ridden stuff with both neddies! Aiming to do WH with grey neddie in sig, and riding horse with chestnut :) Grey is aiming for agricultural shows this year in prep for (potentially if goes well this year) county shows next year, chestnut needs a bit more work before that though, but maybe some of the later agricultural shows! Whoop! I'm so excited! First show on the 11th April! :) Good Luck with all your showing :)

To get to some shows would be a good start for me, lol. Work and money just always seem to get in the way at the moment. I'm starting to think our showing career won't begin until next year now :(
Freddie qualified for Equifest in January (with my YO, not me), so I'd like to get to that if possible. I'd also like to do some local shows to build my confidence and his ring experience.

It's hard to make plans when you don't even know if you'll be able to go to any shows.

I've just sent my entries for both the South Suffolk and the Suffolk show... taking a 9year old welsh A and my 2 year old Welsh C... Quite scared as only done the South Suffolk before... Cant believe my Suffolk Show class starts at 7.30am!!

Really? never heard that before... My friend used to show her coloured at both riden with full mane and feathers etc.... Maybe worth going to watch to give you an idea for next year as i know entries for the suffolk are now closed... South suffolk arent though, why not give them a ring and ask what they expect....

Working Hunter classes for me. Ed has won his last two outings with his previous owner, so looking forward to trying to keep his winning streak going!!

Mine and Bobby-Fell's aim is to do the in-hand M&M large breeds at a small agricultural show in July / August time. Am already excited, my friend has said I can borrow her bridle and I might even buy a hat!!

i would just like to take my 3 out to one show each!
mostly we do stressage but my older mare has competed very sucessfullly at county level, so would like to do veteran in hand.
kaya- coloured classes
Bey- sports horse classes

I am hoping to do some local shows and a few county shows with my welsh D. Denny will be 5 this year and we did a few local shows last year, and ended on a great note when he won the last ridden M+M class. I bought him in Nov 08 (pic 1) and the two other pics were taken in Sept last year.
I cant wait, still a few jobs to do on the horsebox but nothing major, so should be ready for his first show on april 11th.

good luck everybody.....

i have an ex racer so do the shows that have apropriate classes for him, did well showing last year first year showing him, hes got a likeability factor though. he won his first ever ridden which was a novice ridden, then he came 3rd in an ex racer class and qualified for the championships in wales! this year were doing search for a star HOYS qualifier in july! excited =D not expecting to get anywhere as its a popular class that the top producers are starting to go in giving us normal peeps no chance. just do it for some fun!

I'm hoping the to get the small ginger one out to a few shows with her sharers, I'd be happy if she managed to behave herself. :D

It would be lovely if Fudge was sound enough to do an in-hand class at the local show by the end of the season, seeing as our ridden 'career' is over. :(

For Dylan his main aim is the Ex racer champs in October - we qualified last year but they cancelled the show so cannot wait for this year as it will beour first weekend away show. Hopefully as of easter sunday we will be qualified for trailblazers and ponies uk in the home produced section so we shall wait and see ! New pony is arriving tomorrow so will make a choice then but will probably try for trailblazer,ex racer and ponies uk in hand stuff - cannot wait !!

OH has never been in the show ring before, so I'm throwing him in at the deep end! He has 2 local shows, then he will be doing Equestrian Life Qualifiers, Search for a Star and we are hoping to qualify at county for Royal London. I qualified 2009 on OH's horse but couldn't go as OH went into surgery. :-)

I hope to be out unaff showing and showjumping in the summer, some wins would be nice, but as hes only been out a few times last summer. I wont hold my breath and want to aim for top 3 in a 2ft 6 jumping class.

Well, at the start of last year, it was a bit of a disaster for me and Pippa, but we're both improving, and we have bought a flat(ish) field, which I can school in now-rather than hacking to one :P
Good Luck everyone for this year :D:D:D

Well I was going to do my first Novice dressage test but it was cancelled so at the last minute I decided to take my boy to his first outdoor show just for experience.

I can't believe it - he behaved beautifully and WON the Ridden Hunter ( qualifier for Royal London)

What a star!
