Your thoughts?

This already happens in our breed under the German system, my older dog was done before he came to us and my young one had it done at the same time as his hip and elbow x-rays last week - little pin prick on the gum, blood applied to card, sent off for registration along with his pedigree/other ID and x-rays. Not only does it identify the dog, it helps flag up markers for genetic conditions.

Ah right! I'd never even heard of it before, hopefully it'll take off so it becomes a matter of course if dogs & horses are found they're automatically checked. Would help a lot with passporting too I imagine. May get the horse & pup done then.
