I have been trying to trace the current homes of all our old horses/ponies to no avial.
So, has anyone managed to find history on their horses successfully, did you discover anything shocking/sad/happy/heartwarming?
Did you manage to find where your horses have ended up?
So tell me your stories! Meanwhile I will keep searching :D

Been trying for 2 years to find out Ladys history :/
Even asked on here loads of times but no one helped me :( i know there are some people on here who know what i want to know but they just wont help -_-
But i did ring up.....think it was farmkey...... found out she was TB x Arab, 19 years old, and we gave them our details to pass on to the old owners but didnt hear anything after that :( im guessing after 19 years the owners wouldve moved....

Trying to find out the history of my mare right now, but to no avail :(
I've phoned farmkey and she's 16 years old and they've said if we pay £15 they'll forward our details to previous owners (last transfer of ownership on their records was 2002) but I don't know if I'm willing to pay it just for a slight chance that they people might reply, they could have moved aswell :(

What a coincidence I just been looking on NED to see if it would tell me anything of the horses I used to own, I had 4 youngsters and lost my grazing during the winter months, and had no choice but to put them into auction, broke my heart but there was no other choice.
So if anyone knows of a, name on her pastport would be "Look at Me ( lucy)"dark bay welsh X mare 6yrs now, was sold at exeter to a breeder who at the time owned "coole Lad" connamara,

Maggie May mare dark bay welsh D X, 8yrs old, also exeter area.

chestnut geld 7yr old welsh D but cant for the life of me remember his reg name, aka Tango! sold to a dealer called Vernon! old chap, bit of a long shot

sorry for the hijack, but cant help thinking about them and wonder if they OK!

Not exactly the same but when we bought our youngster I asked what his mum and dad were called, managed to trace his mum to her current home and now in regular correspondance with her owner, also managed to trace his dad's breeder (on here) and through her get his papers and get him properly registered! Turned out he was a huge amount better bred than they had realised too.
My Arab, through Arabian lines forum I managed to trace his breeder and spoke to her in Sweden via email, she sent me some foal photos. She did offer to help me get him registered properly too (her stud groom in uk gave him away without papers as he was born cow hocked so not show quality), but I decided not to bother with him as don't show him anyway!
So yep it can be done :) still looking for the whereabouts of roo's dad now - Scottish Sports Horse by the name of Vinnie Jones MF bay with white face, would be 8 now I think?! If anyone knows him. Was sold by Summerlees Sports Horses in Kent about 3 years ago.

Sorry to hijack -but can I ask what 'NED' is?

I got contacted on facebook by one previous owner and found first registered owner on passport and we are now in contact too and know a fair bit of history, there wasn't an awful lot as she was 6 when I got her and she has had a good upbringing from what I can tell from all her owners and from her personality! Happy days!
