Just pondering really, do you think that we are to blame for the problems our horses suffer from? Not behaviour but illness. My horse since I've owned him has had Uevitis, laminitis and now a bacterial infection. You read many posts about the problems with horses hooves, and how removing shoes is greatly improving them. Are horses really better off now than when they were just for food?

The feed we give them is often wrong, the grazing also wrong. We either exercise them too much or not enough. Do you think your horse is happy? Bit of a pointless post really, but just wondered what other peoples thoughts were. Maybe it's just me blaming myself for getting everthing so wrong with my horse. Is it my fault he has these problems, yes I think it is. But i've done my very best, and I hope my Boy is happy.

I don't think you should blame yourself too much. They are animals and are bound to get ill from time to time and at least now you are aware that he is Laminitic you can take the necessary precautions to prevent it happening again.

Well I think we can bring problems upon our horses in how we manage and care for them, and conversely we can solve problems for our horses, it goes both ways, and sometimes things just happen which are out of our control
