To my mind people who make comments like this just don't have the ability to frame an argument.

I almost think it's good to get them to say things like this because it makes them look like an idiot.

Making someone look like an idiot is far more effective than just hurling abuse at them.

What do other people think?
 
no come back is better than an idiotic one. it is far better to keep quiet and have people think you are an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it.


thats some advice a few people could do with taking.

(isnt it fun being patronising and moral?)
 
I think hurling cheap insults makes people look stupid on two levels.

Firstly it makes it obvious that they can't respond with an intelligent comment, and secondly that they don't realise that everyone will think they are a prat.

Kind of a double whammy.

If insults are required they should be delivered with artistic poise and grace.

I wonder what "peta" would think.
 
Well there you go. Peta's taken some of the comments on board and is trying to develop his insulting style.

Personally I think he's got a little way to go yet. However these things are always subjective.

I do agree. Hurling insults is always an indication that the insulter has run out of anything intelligent to say.

I always try to desist from the temptation of reminding my opponents that they are idiots.

If one does has to use insults one should at least try and make them funny. To me "you're a tit" just doesn't hit the mark.

Hey, I may not agree with your legal interpretations (or even want to discuss it), but it doesnt mean I have to disagree with everything. And you've stopped misquoting me, so I'm inclined to be generous..... :)

But tbh, once people resort to insults and mudslinging, this stops being an interesting place.

It is clear that you have got an obsession with A-A. Why else would you be trawling through other sites gathering quotes by/about him. You really are a very sad, lonely and boring soul, aren't you?

It is a sad fact that these people have nothing better to do than start arguments!!

If you ALL did not make silly "up yourself" comments we would not have anything to reply to.

Well, Peta's attempts are certainly becoming more sophisticated if not to say erudite.

He seems to be developing his style nicely here. It's hard to think of an intelligent response to such a piercing and shrewd argument.
