YouTube video - showjumping

Nice horse but I would say that it has got something wrong with its back seeing as though it lands then puts his head between his legs, looks like back pain to me.

ETS how she would get through combinations when he lands like that over every jump I would like to see!

*is still sitting with gob wide open* i thought they were gonna have to start bringing out ladders to put the poles higher!!! lol

All I can say is "Look at her leg position"

That's what I thought!

I am not sure I agree with the back pain bit.
It looks to me as the horse is enjoying jumping and is trying to tank off after the jumps.
You can see the horse becoming quite strong towards the end.
Surely if there was a back prob, it would be refusing and looking unhappy.

I suspect a longer rein and she would have been in another county.

I also suspect that with riding like that and an instructor, they would possibly have some idea if the horse has back pain !!

Exactly what i thought TT. Trainer has a stallion like that, he does the same over every fence at home, playing because he is enjoying himself so much! Lovely horse and what a quiet smart rider. I want a horse like that!!!

Hmmm, I think the horse has a great talent for jumping, but cant quite put my finger on what I think is "wrong" with the horse after the jump...

I deffo need some of her velcro though

Not necessarily - I wouldn't say it looks like it's in a lot of pain, just enough so that when it lands after a big fence it looks like it could be getting a twinge. It also seems to improve the more jumping it does, so it could be a problem that improves once warmed up. That said, it could just be that it had a back probelm once, or that it is a bit stiff through it's back to start with.

its certainly got a lovely jump and I'd be a very happy girl if I had a position and velcro bum like her! Looks to me like the horse is just getting a bit over excited and trying to buck or tank off, but I guess it could be a back problem...

Hmmm...Could be - seems a bit odd to me though that the only time the horse is acting up is when it lands after a fence...I'll concede though - it could be nothing! I'm sure if they are competing at a high level they would have a full maintanence programme!

I wish I had her position!
I don't think the horse is in pain as I rode a horse who acted like he did after a fence in my stage 2, dropped his head attempted to buck and bugger off and this was because he enjoyed his jumping.

Must be an American. Their showjumpers always seem to have such a secure lower leg when jumping.

Regardless of the hat, she's a cracking rider and that horse has one heck of a pop.
