I just had to post, as it was so funny!!!

My last lot today was a fairly fresh 3yr old, who has only just come back into work after a week or two off (so still half fit).. Anyway, plan today was to start some long slow canter work in the sand ring.. They start with 2x2s times round, and work up over time to 3x7s times round.. (with one walk circuit inbetween)..
Today was 3x3s times round, we'd done 2x3s and he'd been ok, although strangley he was quieter on the first lot of 3 than he was on the second, where he put in a few small bucks and shot off a bit, however i was out the back of a string of 11, so no one really noticed..
Untill we get to the last lot of 3, when head-lad says to change direction, so i'm now second from the front, with a school-master as the lead horse.. we'd already cantered 2 circuits in a very calm/manerly way, when suddenly he decided that life was far to boring, so to spice things up a bit he'd try out this proper bucking lark.. He put in 3 belters!! I mean they were huge, and in doing to ke also kicked the white plastic railing, which obviously made a loud noise.. so while he's doing this, all i'm thinking about is stopping him and obviously staying on.. only to get the shout "man down" but it wasn't only one, it was FIVE.. I made 5 people fall off today, and they were all very experienced riders..
When we got back to the tackroom, everyone was laughing so much about it..
Obviously when my horse kicked the railing, it frightened the one behind it, who whipped round, causing the one behind it to do the same, and so on..

That surely would have made £250 on "you've been framed" if someone had cought it on camera!!

Yes i did, that's what really made me laugh.. the fact that my horse bucking like mad made 5 other people fall off, but not me

And those 5 people are all people i'd have a huge amount of respect for in staying on sharp moving horses!!

omg firstly the thought of taking my current 3yold tb out with all his mates for a gallop would fill me with dred!!! so your incredibly brave in the first place!! the picture i have in my head will stay with me all day and i have to say made me laugh out very loud at my pooter, so all around me now know im not doing what i should be! How on earth you stayed on whilst others were falling like flies i dont know but, would mean you need a new name,, i think *missde, stickyonalotofbucks* would suit!!! well done for stayin on and i hope that all others are ok!!

It wasn't as much carnage as you'd think.. only 2 of the poor 5 got proper burried, the other 3 [i think] almost kinda landed running and managed to keep hold of their horses..

The other funny thing i forgot to mention above, was that the domino effect of horses whipping round/people falling off, stopped at another 3yr old, a little mare who looks more like a PURE Welsh Cob than the TB racehorse she is.. she just slowly put the breaks on, and stood her ground, saying what's all the fuss about.. Infact i think she even cought a lose horse!!
She is a bit of a freak of nature tho!
