As I try and tell my friends who look for firey horses and feed them pure crap if they don't get wound up quick enough...A firey horse won't go as far as a calm collected horse who may not look as cool but he'll do the job unlike a nutcase. Any horse can jump 4ft so better go for temperment then scoopy jump... Me thinks... I wonder if they were just especting a ready made get on and go....
You would hope that with the amount spent on the horse, they will have ruled out any physical problems..
I think the key words are "rider with soft hands" if you look at the picture, the rider definitely lacks this. It sounds to me that the woman has realised that her daughter has been hanging on as she is nervous and it has caused the mare to react in a negitive way. As for the biting...she is a chestnut mare, and SOME can be a bit mareish?
Horse will probably be a saint in the right hands, I think any horse is capable of rearing in the wrong hands..
Am with you there! I've got a friend who is convinced everyone is sooo jealous when they see her beautiful horse leaping and prancing all over the place. In reality most are thinking I'm glad I'm not on that!
Back to the point - lovely little mare, what a shame. Hope she gets a nice home.
I agree Dylan. Better to spend 6 months advertising her honestly and find the right home than pass her off onto someone not experienced enough to cope with her.

I agree entirely with you mat! Also i think its very commendable of them to be so honest, would have been easier of them to lie and get their money back but they didnt, they were honest and that is a rare trait in people these days.
I admire her honesty too, lets hope the horse goes to someone nice that will get along with straightening out any issues or a reputable dealer to do the same rather than someone just trying to make a quick profit.
It seems to be a sad case of an ambitious person spending alot of money on a horse with heaps of potential, when in reality they aren't ready for that type of horse and would have been better off buying something that could have taught her daughter alot more and given her more experience.
Sadly I see this type of thing all the time and have had some real bargains come to me because they have been 'messed up' by someone with more money than common sense that was trying to buy success.
Yes exactly me too... an amazing how quick people are to blame the horse!
My horse is incredible but a feisty thing and if you can ride she will take you around a tough track with her eyes shut but in the wrong hands she would be dangerous, and probably be that horse in that advert.
