Hi all Can anyone help/give me advice on my 16yo mares shoulder/back? I rode her last night with out a numnah and as soon as I got on noticed when her left front leg was underneath her shoulder/back let out a mighty CLUNK! i could feel it through the saddle! Ive checked her over, Shes not in any pain and works to her usual standard & My saddle is fine. It only really happens in walk but its very off putting! I already feed her Soluble superflex but havn't had much experience with joint problems and im getting worried HELP!

I'm sure I read something about clicking joints in one of the horse mags recently - the advice (I think) was that noisy joints are quite common and don't necessarily mean anything...bit like people clicking their knuckles. But it can be an indication of early arthritis. Hope it's nothing!
