Yumove or something better?

Lurcher starting to feel her seven and a half years. Any recommendations other than yumove? Used it before and it’s been a while. She’s done the odd little yelp last couple of days. Not lame but definitely stiff.

What collagen supplement are you feeding to the dogs?

Riaflex do a hydrolysed collagen and UC II collagen as an alternative to Joint Plus HA. I am keeping that option up my sleeve.

Is riaflex offering something different or is it cheaper or both?

She had a particularly energetic walk last Thursday. Think she may have a sprain or strain. She’s not yelping all the time or indeed often. She had some pain relief on Friday. She will go to the vet if it continues. She’s not lame.
 
This will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone who has read my threads about Ivy but I agree with @Clodagh - it seems time to check in with a vet.

I'm not sure how you're defining 'lame' vs. 'stiff' but at no point has Ivy been on three legs or hopping (unless she has something stuck between her toes, very quickly remedied). That doesn't mean she hasn't been in significant amounts of pain at various points.

I would wonder if the stiffness and the possible injury last week could be connected. I would also wonder, if there has been an injury, what it was and the recovery time for it. Ivy has had psoas injury twice which is not quick rehab, easily re-injured, and required more than one day of pain relief (most part of a week to really notice a difference). It presented mainly as stiffness but it is a painful injury for them.
 
Just to confirm she is not lame or stiff. She’s a Lurcher low pain threshold. She slept comfortably all night and had just returned from a 50 minute lead only walk. She is happy and well. I’m doing my best to keep her that way.

Your OP yesterday says she is/was 'not lame but definitely stiff'?

I'm not questioning you are aiming to do your best for her but I do question whether 'best' at this stage/in this scenario is supplements or checking in with a vet.

Thank you for your concern. She is doing well today. If I went to docs every time I was a bit stiff. 😆
