I notice that they have an auction of 3 and 4 year olds on the 28th september. There are a couple that look superb but having looked at the last auction in 2006 you wont get much change out of £20k

If any one would like to buy me Winnie The Pooh Z, please feel free - a stable awaits!

So what do you show jumpers think of them? I know a couple locally that are gorg but have also seen a couple that are terrible but I guess that is down to the production. A nice one would be on my wish list if I ever got rich, but I do like my Irish horses too. Are they a reliable source or a bit of a label?

They do have some very good horses go through there, but you need to be rich to buy one! They do get a bit of a premium on them because of the name as well.

Its the same as a lot of the auctions in that horses all look super as they have been well prepared for it, you get what you pay for to a certain extent, and there are a lot of people who will get carried away and spend up to 1.3 more than the horse is worth so that they can say they bought a horse from xyz auction and impress their friends

As with any stud no matter what the bloodlines there are always a few ordinary horses being produced. There are a couple on my yard, 'professionally produced' and I would not take a second look at them- neither are worth more than £4k IMO but because of their 'name' the owners paid good money for them..
