Zara is finally getting wed!

Perhaps I'm an old cynic but what the hell is the point of a wedding when you've been living together for years?

Ties up a few loose ends I suppose but that's about all.

Writing as a dad of two daughters both divorced and now re-established with divorcees.

I am asuming that they might one day want children. As she is 12th in line to the throne and the Queens grandchild, it might be better to have children in wedlock. Or am I just being old fashioned. So a little more than tied up loose ends I think!!!

I lived with my OH for years, had a baby (planned), got married when my son was 2. Why?? Mainly because of my son - maybe old fashioned but I believe it is better for him if his father and I are married, it makes no difference to my commitment to my OH whether we are married or not. I also know my folks are a lot happier now, even though they would never say anything - our solicitor is also a happier man lol PS we are both divorcees ;)
