Zara is out of the Bejing Olympics because Toy Town has hurt himself in training.

OMFG. Poor Zara, to miss two olympics through injury must be so sad.
So who do we think will be called up. I'm quessing not Flint Curtis or Miners Frolic.

I don't think Hope Street is good enough, Spring Along's dressage is too inconsistant IMO. I went to a lecture demo of Ruth's and thought she was very nice, she was still hopeful for a place and i hope she gets it.

just seen it on BBC news front page!! it is a shame, will be interesting to see who they call up from the 1st reserves!

edit to say like the comment on BBC website that says riders only qualify one horse for the olympics so she cannot find a replacement. Err no you can qualify more than one (infact arn't both Glenbuck and other one technically qualified??) but they are not good enough to go against other hopefuls and they weren't nominated on the short list....

I would hate to see Ruth Edge go on Two Thyme as he can be inconsistent at top level. I do not believe he is an olympic horse. His Sjing is also in my mind not good enough as rarely goes clear.

I would rather see Tina Cook or Daisy go.

I agree I really dont think Two Thyme should be chosen

We will find out after Barbury so lets hope Daisy and Tina get a great run or that Two Thyme proves me wrong!

His showjumping is much more consistant now and I think that Spring Along's SJ is worse.

Spring along's x/c is very accurate usually though- especially at pratoni! I think Daisy should get the place- Zara wasnt renowned for her showjumping either!

What a shame, that's horses isn't it, on top of the world one minute, down the mine the next..
I'd actually like to see Sharon Hunt and Tankerstown go, but they aren't in the reserves are they.
I reckon he is the most fantastic XC horse and would be a real asset.
The Team were training straight after Bramham, I wonder if he did it then?
