I'm looking for information regarding Zero Nevada, a quarter horse stallion. He is one of my rescue's grandsires. She has inherited EPSM and I'm and wondering if she got it from his lines?

I'd also like to find out any other general information about him, performance record etc. I've googled and been on allbreedspedigree.com, but there doesn't seem to be much published data on him.

Any help or pointers would be most gratefully received.

Try looking on thewesternshop.com as they have a forum full of western people who should be able to help.

Also try the american QH UK site and if you're on facebook look up the Western Riding UK magazine page and you'll find people who know a lot about breeding.

Good Luck

Think he was maybe bred by Shuna Mardon, at Manar Stud, i think the Zero horses were by Harman Zero, or might have been by Zero Depth Charge? Did work there for a while but a long long long time ago, a wonderful breed of horse and Shuna is an incredible horsewoman, she is sister of Lorna Clark, eventer from the 70's 80's era.....

Hi
it's a long time since you posted but I knew Zero Nevada, my friend had him at stud in Cotherstone near Barnard Castle Teesdale. He was a really lovely horse, the first QH I ever saw actually. Sadly he was injured while asleep under a tree which was on the stoney track that ran through his field - by the post man who drove too fast and couldn't stop in time!! He had to be put to sleep. So sad.

Apparently it has been traced to three specific lines but they are currently undisclosed from what I can gather. :( Zero Nevada has some common ancestors with all of our horses but then that really means nothing. Hope your search comes up with something, AQHA and AQHA uk on Facebook are a great place to start. :)

Hi. I am maybe way to late to help you but I used to look after him when he was a five year old and he was fit and well with no problems. Somewhere I have his stud card. Will try to find it for you.
