hmm, the zips on my lovely long-boots work their way about 3" down as i ride. not a good look, and particularly annoying as i've lost weight and they're now slightly loose, at least when my calves were bigger i could blame it on that!
any idea please? these aren't old boots, and it looks rubbish when the zips come down. don't really want to go the route of new zips if i can help it.
thanksy

On mine on the zip there is a little bit that sticks out this is designed to be gently pushed into the closed zip and it works as a stopper. Jean zips etc should have this too.

If you were not aware of this bit you may just need to push it in slightly and it will work. If the zip does not have this I used to put a small piece of blue tac after I have done the zip up however it is a pain to get out out of the zip if you undo it without removal.

hope that makes sence.

I tried super glue on the pair that were splitting apart. Worked a treat, however now the zip doesn't work at all.....

Technically if you push the zip in, it should have spikes that dig in and stop it coming undone. Failing that the electrical tape sounds the best, you see lots of polo player with their boots held together with gaffer tape!

I have Ariat gaiters and when fastening the popper at the top of the zip, I leave the zip sitting "up", so that the leather piece with popper sits across it. Hope that makes sense?!

My zips have never fallen down on them and I don't think it is that noticeable to others. I tuck the little leather bit on the zip back down the inside of the gaiter.
