Hi,
Had an awful couple of weeks with Zola, my 8 year old Ocicat. He has had diabetes since last November but seemed to be responding to treatment until May 1 when he suddenly crashed and we had an emergency trip to the vet and kept in for 2 days, was out only 2 days thrn the same again and put on a drip for a few days while they ran more tests and yet another scare a few days later.
The upshot is that poor Zola has end stage kidney failure and nothing can be done for him. The vet advised to bring him home and enjoy whatever time we have left with him and advised we are talking a few weeks if we are lucky.
Completely devastated, all the more so as my Dad bought him for me when my first cat died and Dad died last May.
