I went cross country schooling yesterday. Zoom loves water, she always splashes and tries to roll but yesterday she did something weird.

As we went through the water she kept putting her whole head underneath. I mean ears, eye....the lot! She did it over and over again, it was hilarious.

I was laughing so much I thought I was gonna fall off!! Do you think it is headshaking related, she is not wearing her nosenet yet. Or do you think she is just odd! :D

Bless Zoomy crazy nut head!

I think though could be related to headshaking as yesterday I had hayfever so did my friend so m,aybe the pollen was high ?? I'd just start using the nosenet to be on the safe side :)

Could she be in season at all? Last year when my mare was heavily in season she dunked her head in the water trough all the way over her eyes. I have no idea why she did it and I haven't seen her do it again, so I could only think she was either hot and bothered or it was connected to her being in season?

As it happens she has come into season so maybe that is why?? It's actually a bit embarrassing......every time she sees my friend's horse Jester who lives down the road, she comes into season.

I'm so ashamed!! What a tart! :p

Ha, mine is such a floozy as well when she's in season. Last year she stood by the geldings field squirting at them, her tail looked pretty grim afterwards!

Maybe the two are connected then, I really have no idea why they dunk their head in water when in season though, perhaps someone else knows?

HA HA blees her gotta love zoomy. Lucy does that when she goes into water. She just loves to splash around and try to get everyone wet. She paws the water and puts her whole head under. She will also put her whole head in her water bucket to have a drink. I thought she was weired. :D :D :D
Lucys isn't season related. She has only come into season once in 12 years. She thinks she's a stallion you see and has high testostorone(sp?) levels.
Ok maybe she is just weired.
