Pau and Maryland entries

It's probably worth mentioning that the 2024 Maryland XC track is pretty similar to the 2023 version which had a 64% XC completion rate. Ian Stark designed both, and made a few changes, but not a wholesale redesign. I think you have to look further than the specifications of the track design itself to explain the low completion percentage this year. It played a part, but isn't the whole story.

I’m not OT’s biggest fan but that was great to watch and well deserved. OT was properly emotional there, I don’t think I’ve seen him like that before! BC is amazing.

I'm also not the biggest OT fan, but I do think that he and BC are an incredible partnership. Clear XC round every 5* they've contested. Hasn't had a XC penalty since Boekelo 2016 - quite possibly the greatest XC horse of all time - no track too big, no track too technical??

It’s from the 3* but I really enjoyed Elisa Wallace’s GoPro footage. As someone who is never going to be an eventer, it’s really interesting to see it from the rider perspective as well.

Refresh the page and you should see under 2024 dressage part 3 and you have to select that one to watch.

Might be because they have removed some fences overnight

I have belatedly remembered something about adjusting the fences because of some very heavy rain, so maybe those fences have been removed from the course.
