Long time no see and I don't expect anyone to remember me but I used to be on here a lot. Hopefully I have this in the right place !!
I am desperately and urgently looking for DIY livery or a field to rent in the Sheppey/Sittingbourne/Upchurch etc area with immediate availability for 2...
We've all told her that and I think she does understand it. Poor girl has exhausted herself over the summer spending almost every waking hour with Fin and all for nothing in the end :( She was very upset at one point because she was supposed to spend the summer helping to break him in so she...
Thanks everyone. His owner is doing well. She managed to clear his stable (something I couldn't do when I lost my boy) and I found her in the yard garden on Thursday eating a tub of icecream with his urn of ashes beside her chatting away to him about her first day back at school!!! Early days...
Yes we all did but week 5 got him, he just stopped eating again and went down hill :( his owner had to think what was kindest for him and we all think she made the right decision at the right time for Fin.
A horrible decision for anyone but for a 14 year old who had owned him from a foal, a...
Fin lost his fight with grass sickness yesterday.
Thank you everyone that gave advice and support, it was very gratefully received but in the end it was too much for Fin.
He was a lovely little chap that will be missed by horses and humans alike.

Much appreciated. Fins not been so good the last two days. He has virtually stopped eating again and although I thought it wasn't possible he has managed to lose some more weight. The vet says this is a critical week and he will have to be assessed at the end of the week to see how he is and...
Thank you, we need those fingers still crossed, it's a long rocky road from what I understand!
What with the dog needing emergency surgery for pyo on Friday, being up all night with her and my family descending on me yesterday I've only managed to poke my head over Fins door a couple of times...
Hi Just a quicky to say Fin is still holding his own :) He has poo'd every day this week, just the once each day but it is a great improvement on no poo for over 2 weeks. We are now half way through week 5 of this horrible illness and he is eating a little each day, the vet is happy with how he...
Sorry, my router got temperamental!
I haven't seen Fin today because Jack (my boy) is being used for Pony Camp so I had a night off :)
On Sunday Fin poo'd for the first time in nearly two weeks and again yesterday. He is tucking into grated carrots and soaked barley rings and likes Pepper's...
Try Victoria who is on here. I *think* she might cover that area going by her FB updates. Her name on here escapes me - VickiEDT perhaps? - but I'm sure someone else will be able to give you that.
I have Thermatex leg wraps. I don't wash Jacks legs at all, I just put the wraps on over the mud and brush it out the next day before he goes out. Since I got the leg wraps and stoppped washing his legs every night he hasn't had mud fever at all.
A quick update on Fin. Yesterday morning his owner arrived at the yard to find the most revolting, vile smelling 'stuff' coming out of Fins nose. She called the vet and cleaned him up while managing to get most of the goo into a carrier bag for the vet even though the smell was making her heave...
