Sports Horse GB PASSPORT no old owner details

Speak to whoever issued the passport - I'm having a similar issue with my welshy - only person who has signed is the breeder who is now deceased. WPCS will update ownership details without sellers signature but need a statutory declaration signed by the current owner and witnessed by a...

A nice Christmas present from the vet..!

Haven't read the full thread, but our lovely vets do a zone visit for £12, where they cover an area on a specific day - In practice they can appear at any time of that day, in reality one of the nurses gives you 45mins-1hrs warning of they're arrival, which is great if you have an understanding...

    Christmas sales!!

Derby house came up slightly big on my welsh d - don't know if you'd get away with 5'6 for a 5'9 pony though **is no help at all sorry **

    Life after tendon injury

My oldie (at least 18 when he did it) perforated his tendon - vet said the scan resembled something close to Swiss cheese. Anyway, he had all the remedial work the vets could offer for the first 6 months...still 2/10ths lame. We turned him away as a companion thinking he would never come...

How would you feel about this

What do you mean "mean to other horses she doesn't like"? I'm not sure I could be on a yard where I had seen the yard manager behave in such a fashion - regardless of whether they liked my horse or not!

    School use numbers?

We have sole use of both the indoor and the outdoor, I thought that was fairly normal but reading this it seems we are incredibly lucky to be able to book sole use! 20x40 indoor and 40x60 outdoor - YO won't let more than one horse in a a time unless you get permission I.e for s group lesson...

    Like Wintec Isabel but not?

I currently have one horse who I ride in a wintec Isabel, I love this saddle, it's comfy and fits us both really well. I have another that I ride in a thoroughgood/griffin selecta saddle, this fits the horse really nicely... However, after numerous operations on my knee to repair...

bit odd - Using horse to pull trailer full of hay? Is it ok?

Sounds daft but when we used to need to move largish quantities of hay around (had 4 horses in a field half a mile away from the barn!) we used to fill an old king size duvet cover and use that to drag the hay about. Surprisingly light and you can't get loads in! Probably a lot less...

Why do horses have rugs on when owners are in t-shirts?

See our Shetland gets rugged on a semi regular basis - but we do the same as a prior poster does, if we go up and it's torrential rain or freezing cold then we walk towards him with the rug - if he stays still he gets rugged if he runs off he doesn't - simple! Trust me if he does want rugged...

    Winter dressage saddles

I've got my Welsh D in a wintec Isabel - he's fairly flat backed though. I've found it to be the most comfortable saddle I've owned - I've got a thoroughgood and a Black Country saddle for other horses and they ruin my hips. The wintec does tend to lock you into position which some people...

Has anyone sold a horse they loved for there competition dreams?

Your mare sounds lovely and not the sort that you would struggle to sell if that's what you decided. I'm not sure if I could sell on your gelding given your concerns. One question though if you don't mind me asking, what level have you competed at before? It would be daft to buy a horse...
