I currently have one horse who I ride in a wintec Isabel, I love this saddle, it's comfy and fits us both really well.

I have another that I ride in a thoroughgood/griffin selecta saddle, this fits the horse really nicely...

However, after numerous operations on my knee to repair ligaments, bones and cartilage after a tibial plateau fracture...the thoroughgood no longer fits me. It seems to press in at precisely the wrong part of my knee and creates pressure through my hips. This seems to be getting worse every time I ride in it. - on Sunday I had to get someone to stand next to the horse as I dismounted as I was in so much pain I thought I wouldn't be able to stand!

I'm perfectly fine after riding in the other saddle so I don't think it's the actual riding that's the problem (I also can't go back to Drs/hospital as they've pretty much reached the stage where they are happy that I can walk and anything else is a bonus!)

I've tried the wintec on the other horse...it doesn't fit the horse at all, is totally wrong for him.

So, (if anyone is still with me!) can anyone recommend a saddle that fits like a thoroughgood but has the seat/flaps of the wintec?!

Will obviously get it checked by the saddler but would be useful to have a starting point or recommendations for the search!

Thanks in advance!

If it's the tree shape that's wrong for you and the horse in this case maybe try a wintec pro either with or without the contour bloc as that is not such a flat saddle as the isabel one and may suit you both better.
