Hi all. We're looking to move from a 4x4 and trailer to a box. We've just been to see a box which would suit our needs and appears to be well maintained. It's an 02 plate with 400 k km on the clock. Is this mileage normal or high? Could I expect it to carry on for several years yet?

Yes, you should be concerned. We've had some legs go down collapsed small holes, no injury thankfully but waiting to happen. Now have a hunter come in and regularly shoot them. The population isn't decimated but it's well under control.

I hand pulled a trailer full last weekend. Shame as they're so pretty but I didn't want them seeding.

Sprays won't work against horseflies unless they kill them on contact. Horseflies hunt by sight, heat and movement. If you want to kill them and reduce the population as time goes by you need to make or buy a horsefly trap. One of the best purchases I ever made!

I'd use linseed mean rather than oil, a couple of hundred grams a day. I'd also add UK balanced minerals from forage plus, Equimins, Progressive Earth or Equinatural.
