Anyone on here who regularly rides with EGB? I have just registered for their try before you scheme and was just wondering if you had any useful tips or info for me regarding their rides?
I currently ride with Sport Endurance.

I'm really struggling with the hacking and as i have no transport yet, its difficult getting madam out and about really.
I could hack if she would, but strangely she doesnt like to hack out from the yard and refuses, backs up, spins and just makes it damn...
Unfortunately my phone doesn't presently support apps due to being dropped at the stables and not being yet :rolleyes:
I did a 12.5 mile pleasure ride at an average speed of around 5/6 mph, i'm in the process of finding out how long it took me to do the 17 miles i did on Saturday, so will let...

Me and mare are starting our first endurance season and i have so far done two pleasure rides and at the end of June i have my first lower level competitive class.
I'm just wondering if any endurance riders out there could tell me what kind of training programme they do with their...
The bad behaviour only occurred after she saw our usual hacking buddy leave the yard, as soon as they went off the yard she started the napping and refusing to work, which she has done before, so i don't think it was mild colic causing bad behaviour, but possibly the other way around or she...

I am inclined to think she stressed herself out more than anything and just got hot and bothered.
I'm not doing anything with her today, just letting her do her own thing as we are off to Delamere tomorrow :)
I lunged and then rode my horse this evening, as I normally do.
Then one of the other horses left the yard to go ride on the field and she started to have a strop, napping and stopping in the middle of the arena thinking we had finished. So i decided to walk out on to the field to cool her...
He is gorgeous!
I have my Arab mare since August last year and she is amazing! My first horse too, and yes i got a lot of 'ooooo, a chestnut Arab mare as a first horse??!' comments, but she has taught me a lot since i have had her and we are now embarking on the start our endurance career...

I have a purebred Arab mare that I want to show but unfortunately a few of the youngsters she shares a field with have nibbled away at here mane :(
I have been told that I can still go ahead and show as the classes are about...
