Ambers been tested and needs it so I got one from Pet Drugs online over the weekend and its still showing as in stock. It's more expensive than other suppliers though.
Amber is the best horse I've ever owned and in horse terms I do love her and she's going nowhere. But we also haven't clicked, I still have a little pause every time I think bout riding her, and it's been 5 years so I'm don't think it will happen. If she didn't have a few health niggles I might...
I'm in a similar situation; Ambers had 8 days off due to a combination of bad weather and me having a cold. I'm now starting to look at the forecast and think about when I can get back on as we have a clinic on 31st so need to be up and running again for that .
Yeah there’s generally not hard standing near the taps and drainage isn’t great plus space is a premium. It is purely for dust hence considering a steaming setup. I’m sure she’d love haylege, the dust free bagged hay seems hard to get locally. Thanks for all the suggestions.
So Amber is now on soaked hay which is fine whilst we're at home. She's on it as she developed a bit of a cough about 6 weeks after coming in overnight; soaking hay and respiratory supplement has stopped the cough.
But our shows tend to be at least 1 night away and sometimes more and I know...
Made it to Saturdays clinic, got a bit worried as the snow hit about 10:30 but it stopped soon enough. The indoor was a bit crunchy at the door end to start but soon settled and we had a fab time. Focused on small but very important details so have some good things to work on once the weather...
There was a study done where they taught horses to indicate if they wanted a rug on or not. So I can totally see a horse showing happiness/smugness about having a rug on when they wanted it.
Amber definitely has a favourite rug for this weather and others have commented on it too. I should...
My Freelander would just about do that on a tank heavy trailer with living, one horse, so £80. It's a distance I do regularly, takes about 3 hours each way.
It's more expensive from the vet but for me it's worth it to avoid the hassle. If you get tablets, I recommend a little coffee grinder about £20 off amazon, it does a great job of turning them into powder. Mine's rechargeable but lasts for months with intermittent use.
Isn't one of the wonderful things about horses/ponies, is that they come in so many varieties and can do so many different things. The vary rare times I've felt someone look down on me, that's said far more about them than me.
You don't have to keep anything, but you also can keep anything that you personally want to. I've very little left from the horses I've lost over the years, and I never intentionally kept anything, but the memories are still there.
Mon - off
