I had the same with my ISH,3 years ago, LINSEED IS AMAZING !! all of the farriers formula ect are very pricey and I didn't notice much a change !!! effol hoof moisturiser as well twice a day works a treat !
When I lead my Horse to the field,(mare),a horse in a field I have to lead past(yearling),always rushes up to the fence, and open and closes her mouth, almost like yawn and close, constantly,i just wondered what this meant !? :)
I would call a vet, your horse could have easily out its back out in the field, ect, but it does sound pain related. I have heard before girths can hit some sort of vein that makes them react ?
Our friends have a shogan, cheap to fill, but not sure on tax, they tow 2 chunky 15.2's with an ifor Williams trailor, and they love it! Also look at ford rangers.
Size does not matter, its the talent !My farrier jumped around junior Olympic tracks on his 12hh pony, including 9 bars ... on average I would say around 16.2 though !
Stunning, I bought a 15hh irishx as a baby, and told she would only, jump 2ft max,she is now jumping 1M5 courses with ease competing ! I look forward to the future with her!!
Sounds absolutely crazy, but linseed, you can buy it ground at a local equine store, cheap and simple, and works a treat, just add it to your horses feed!
Loads of pole work! Poles on the diagonal in a figure of eight, cantering over the poles then balancing for the next set, also pole, pole, bounce jumps, then two other poles, works a treat !
Micro fleeces, you can pick them up from local camping stores, like this one...http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/mountain-equipment-womens-micro-zip-t-25210062?id_colour=139 they work a treat !
