When I lead my Horse to the field,(mare),a horse in a field I have to lead past(yearling),always rushes up to the fence, and open and closes her mouth, almost like yawn and close,constantly,i just wondered what this meant !?

It's a foal submissive behaviour. Almost like saying I am a baby I respect you, don't hurt me.

That explains it ! she has done it ever since 1 day old !

I love watching foals interact with others in the herd. It's so interesting the different behavious and games they all play.
