FIELD SHELTERS - bedding
Have you tried Bliss? It has a bitter agent added so they don't eat it. Mine isn't in a shelter though!

wood pellets vs shavings...
How can straw be costing that much? I use one bale of Bliss chopped straw a week and having tried everything else wouldn't change now.

Leave the pellets guys.. Chopped rape straw is much better, no freezing easy to pick out etc etc give it a go my fave is Bliss

Have you tried chopped and treated Straw? I find it better than shavings, maybe a bit more but lasts for ages - I use one bag a week. Best I've found is Bliss, they do a winter (Eucolyptus infused) and a summer (citronella).

Sorry forgot to say that Bliss has a bitter agent added and never had a prob with it being eaten!

I have also been using Bliss for ages, haven't found anything better, one bale a week is all I need to use!
