Hi, just came across your post in the search. There appears to be quite a lot of positive feed back regarding barefoot on here which has suprised me to be honest.
I have two horses barefoot and have been for 3+ yrs. They are neither of them field ornaments but easily cover 50 miles a week each...
One of my horses has an adverse reaction to sugars, particularly anything which is molassed, which, lots of branded feeds appear to be full of. I've done loads of research into sugar intollerance, which it turns out my mare has. It's so bad that one small feed of anythng mollassed makes her...

'So, having been involved with dressage to a reasonable level, SJ and showing at the top level, I can honestly say that what I've seen in the showing world beats anything I've seen anywhere else hands down.
What's more, this isn't "the odd rider" or "the odd yard", it's blatent cruelty that...

Seems to me that everyone knows whats...
As I said previously the footage I have seen is the same as the rollkur/hyperflexion incident but more extreme in as much as other riders were employing a similar technique. It is very interesting to note, however, that (apart from the sarcastic worthless comment), people are now trying to guess...
The footage I've been shown is not posted on the internet nor do I think it will be. I have seen the rollkur/hyperflexion footage referred to and was appauled by that also. The footage I've seen is more exreme in that more riders are involved in a similar way. However, the fact that people have...
I have just seen some footage, filmed covertly, of horses in the warm up area of a recent olympic dressage event. If this sort of treatment is 'usual' then anyone who participates, either as a competitor or spectator should be ashamed, very, very ashamed.
Obviously, employers are flouting all the rules here. A bit ironic low wages, but use of swimming pool.
European working time directive.
Minimum wages all apply even to the equestrian industry.
