Hi
I've acquired 4 acres of land which I'm building two stables on. The land will be secure and newly fence and posted. I'm looking for some light help for two days a week. Not all day. The duties will include. Turning my horse out from overnight stabling into the field. Mucking out his stable...
Hi,
my boy who is almost 16 has always been a kind lovely natured horse, loved by other horses and people.....
I sold him 2 yrs ago and bought him back over a year ago. He came back from the person who bought him with a massive haemotoma and bite ( from a horse) on his neck. He had to go on...
Yes that may be a good idea.
I'm having a wobble today about all of this.
I need to write down the pro's and con's of going it alone.
I really want to do this but my concern is that I work 12 hour days and I will need someone to help me out on those days (usually 2 days a week)
I'm...
I have just acquired a plot of land, around 3.5 acres. It's a bit of a mess, or should I say a blank canvas.
It needs to be correctly fenced as previous owner just put up barbed wire and hoped for the best !!
It has various different types of trees on it. No stables ( I'm going to erect two...
Also I wanted some other advice:/
I have acquired this land from a land owner. But there has been a person occupying it for 25 yrs and they are being asked to leave. They won't leave peacefully. I'm really worried about repercussions of me moving onto the land. I'm thinking of maybe asking them...

Then after that work out in importance order what needs to be done, take your time, ecplain to anyone who is waiting on you they have to wait more. Prioritise is the...
Connie for me all the way. My first horse I learnt properly on was a connie mare, she was beautiful to look at, calm, not mareish at all, and was a giving loving pony. I love Connie's personally.
He's never kicked another horse. He's just started this ears back and flapping his head about at the other horse a bit. Some mouth opening and girly squealing that's it, nothing drastic really. He doesn't have back shoes on either.
What I thought I would do is move him from where he is now and put him in my other field with my two tinies and try him to see if he's more confident and less aggressive with them.
I'm more concerned about his turn out. I may have to turn him out with a couple of tinies. Would that make a difference if he feels he's top dog or horse !!
My 14 yr old gelding was on loan for just over a year. The loaner didn't say much but indicated he was turned out with a horse that was a bit of a bully.
when he came back off loan he had a huge haematoma on his neck with teeth marks and a few teeth marks over his body.
hes fine now six mths...
