2nd (of two 🤣) in Minor Puppy at the breed show today. He was a PITA between auto sitting which it new 🙄 and being a fidget every time the judge was looking but standing still and square when his back was turned 🤦♀️ Lots of learning for me, he most definitely feeds off my nerves.
Most get bathed either when they've rolled in something stinky or just before specific events (Champs etc).
The puppy gets bathed ahead of every show atm but as we go more I'll likely only bother before specific shows as he's generally a clean dog.
Now I will admit, Fizz sits on the bench seats in our local but on one of our coats and we always ask before allowing her to come up. She just curls up in a ball on our coat though.
Today's solo walk for Fenrir, spotted someone coming the opposite way so kept him on his lead as we're having some slight regression and I don't want him to lead to run up to dogs. Said woman allowed her collie to stalk us the whole way towards us until we're nose to nose and she is still 2...
I do find it varies vet to vet but found the most expensive locally was a chain practice which hides the fact its a chain who then also tried to upsell on every visit.
Our vets is independent and I'm happy with their pricing, they're not the cheapest but reasonable. They also recommend over...
Sounds about right, someone in sports has had 2 'lifetime' bans and is still back competing at major televised events, involved in judging and pumping out several litters of puppies every year. I've seen them post ban picking up dogs by their ears and alpha rolling dogs who wouldn't run.
Roadrunners lead dog refused to run in the first leg (seeemed to be spooked by something) and they got a light (early change) in the second race so Watsons won.
I don't think it's any surprise I liked the Pembroke 🤣
I'll be honest (and I'm a flyballer), I hate flyball at Crufts. I don't think it shows what the sport really is and it gives the appearance that its not a sport for any dog....which is absolutely is. The less said about at least one of the...
Now I'm home from day 2, Fizz was perfect as always. Fen was such a good boy, he loved the atmosphere and coped brilliantly on DD (typical vallhund meant he wasn't interested in the people unless he was getting treats 🤣). We did nearly have to buy several low hanging treats and toys though 🙄
