I wouldn't register her as a racehorse, just change her passport.. But I doubt I will be bothered with the expense. Ahaa I'm assuming Northern Dancer is good then!
Wow thank you for all the replies, unfortunately her previous owners didn't register her with weatherbys and I have yet to do that! Didn't think he could have been anything particularly special but interesting to know, hopefully she will make a nice eventer or if not a riding horse for someone...
Hi all,
Just trying to take a look at my 2 year old TB x 's breeding to see if any of her thoroughbred lines are any good (purely interest) but am struggling to find out much about her sire Rebelsway, his sire Swinging Rebel or her damsire Northern Tempest, all weatherbys registered TB's. If...
I have a 7year old IDxTB who is only just really matured now. Physically, and therefore mentally as she couldn't have taken the schooling when she was younger, although she is very switched on and talented so definitely worth the wait! My other ISH mare also was quite slow to mature (according...
Not sure what to do as my horse just broke out of the stable and has been digging into haylage bales that were only wrapped 4 weeks ago. It's very dry and doesn't seem hot and she doesn't appear to have any signs of colic yet but I wasn't sure whether to feed her or not? Am waiting for the vet...
Anybody seen the Open Eventing XC? Going up on Saturday and competing in the Open Eventing, just praying it isn't raining too much up there! Would love to know what the course is like if anyone has seen it! (:
Some interesting posts on here.
As someone who is currently trying to make junior teams etc, it's quite interesting to see peoples opinions on pony/junior/young rider riders, horses, set ups etc. There are some with money thrown at them from parents who buy them fantastic ready made horses...
I hadn't thought of that but that's probably a good idea, a friend of mine managed to get his training and test government funded so I will ask him about it. Thank you!
Rosiefan- Yes I'm sticking with pony club for aslong as I can! Been competing at the nationals for the last 4 years, yet to win my section but two of my team mates have so maybe their luck will rub off on me! Plus my mum runs the showjumping for our club which means we end up getting much...
Yeahh my trainer let's me ride her psg and grand prix horses which has definitely made a big difference.
I thought that might be how it was but thanks for clearing that up. Cheers again :)
We have our own yard, stables, fields etc and make all our own hay & haylage as my parents farm sheep aswell.
Kerrili - As for how good I am.. My dressage needs serious work, not my strong point so I put a lot of effort into trying to get that up to standard and my main horse isn't really...
Just starting to wonder if it is possible to get to the top of the equestrian sport(eventing for me) to run your own yard and ride professionally? As a junior rider who has serious ambition to do this but not the supporting funds from parents etc ( which seems to set quite a few people up? ) I...
Abit confused as on the ONu18 programme it says a team of 8 are selected and then 2 individuals, but does that mean there are two teams of 4 an a and a b? Or a team that just selects the best 4 scores from the 8? Also is there anywhere they post previous team lists of team results as I can't...
