As it says really. Our PC branch is there competing in the Open Dressage on Friday. Mini TX, myself and the rest of our team are travelling up on Thursday and will be there until Saturday morning. Would love to say hello to any other HHOers that are going.

Our branch is traditionally very noisy, so you will hear you see us.

Anyway, good luck to everyone competing there at the new venue in Cheshire. I have to admit we have been to the Champs twice and have always loved it. Its a big show atmosphere, but always very friendly and great fun, and we always enjoy it. I suspect this is the last time we shall be going as Mini TX is nearly 18 and may not bother joining next year, so am going to enjoy every last minute of it.

Bet you're not as noisy as us! ;)

A has qualified for the Open Individual SJ on Friday and our team for the Open SJ on Saturday. We're heading down first thing on Thursday and should be there early afternoon after dropping off a horse to her new home on the way. You'll not miss us - we are taking "voyager" all for one small mare. Come and say hi or pm me your number and I'll call/text when we are there :D

We're travelling up tomorrow! Competing on Thursday in the Intermediate Dressage then travelling back on Friday. Very much hoping the weather holds out and that me packing wet weather gear scares off any rain! :D never been to the Championships before, it will also be our first ever National level competition. Very much looking forward to it. I'm number 28 and will be on a big ginger beast who may take a disliking to anything spooking, this could be fun! ;)

Unfortunately I won't be able to pay a vist, I had been hoping to but both daughters will be there, not riding but working building show jumping courses and picking up poles. Think their friends and them may beat everybody in the noise stakes especially camping at night.........

I'm from the Essex Hunt North branch traveling up on Thursday for the Open Dressage on Friday :)

I went last year for the intermediate and had a great time :D

Mr Coblet was clipped this morning :)

Im building the SJ courses each day and "pole picking" so will be around, like AB (mum) said we're rather loud, almost got thrown off last year!

Rosie and E Essex Hunt team will be there for the eventing but not until Sunday. Any updates on the ground would be welcome pretty please :)

I am going to watch :) My yard is a pony club centre so I am going to cheer on our team :D

The fact it's only 10 minutes from my house is an added bonus :D

We are driving up first thing tomorrow morning for the intermediate dressage. Very excited and also rather scared - only pony's 4th ever dressage competition! My daughter is no. 65 - Arena A. Good luck to all - whatever happens these kids have achieved so much just by qualifying - I for one am a very proud mummy :D

It is drying out quite nicely round these parts at the moment. Was out walking near Cholmondely yesterday and no mud in sight so fingers crossed it should be OK! Good luck to all of you - it really is a beautiful setting and the XC is a fantastic (but challenging) course : )

Halloooo *waves*!! We will be there - I'm feeling like an old-timer as this will be our FIFTH visit  but of course first to the exciting new venue :)

We are there from Thursday to Sunday as the young pony Jack is doing the Interrmediate SJ on Friday and the inestimable Noffy the Open eventing on Sunday. So we have a free day on Saturday and as a certain Ms Baydale has decided to come and help me spend my free time profitably, I cannot guarantee noise but I anticipate a good time :p

Looking forward to seeing all our old friends, and please come and say hi if you work out who we are but haven't met us before ;) I echo the sentiment expressed earlier - congratulations to everyone who has qualified, hope all have a fantastic time :)

Looks like a good number of you are going up there then, so please do say hello - pm me if you want. Our girls are competing in Arenas A-D from 10.00 am 10.22 am, on Friday in the Open Dressage, dont know their numbers as all details at home and I should really be working.

Its tipping down with rain as I look out of my office window, so hope its not doing the same in Cheshire.

Cant wait - love going to the Nationals.

Not raining yet an hour further north, but looking very grey....

Gutted - our pc dressage team are in the novice champs, which I believe will be at Kelsall not Cholmondley, so won't see you all!

Best of luck to you all. Lots of photos please. xx

Good luck all those competing! :)
And those who think they are noisy, you have yet to meet the iveaghs/Irish contingent ;)

As one who was parked next to your contingent last year I can say they were perfectly behaved :p

As for cheering on the day, I think we were pretty closely matched as we vied for 2nd and 3rd places! Good luck to them again this year :)

We're about 3 miles away from Cholmondeley as the crow flies and we have just had a dinger of a rainstorm after a few hours of steady rain already so hope it's passed you all by.

Good luck everyone.

Anybody seen the Open Eventing XC? Going up on Saturday and competing in the Open Eventing, just praying it isn't raining too much up there! Would love to know what the course is like if anyone has seen it! (:

We have just got back home (friday very late pm) no rain from Thursday evening to Friday lunch time and that was fairly light but most of afternoon on and off a little heavier at times. We were very surprised how hard the showjumping rings were Thursday evening. But there is heavy rain due on the cards up there. Be ready for a lot of walking it is a VERY long way from stables to lorry's and to the show ground. If you still have time pack a bike..lorry parking was a bit mental but they are trying hard as everything had to be changed around last minute because of last weeks weather..and the phone signal is awful even the shops are having problems as can't use the cards..the shop that sell the pc shirt's was cash only no cheques..have fun.. we did ...

Only just found some signal. Ground holding up very well. XC flat and inviting - we are parked next to it. Phone signal dreadful and there is a fair amount of walking involved but with this number of boxes and competitors not altogether surprising.

Oddly very little atmosphere around the main SJ ring but perhaps there will be more today as teams cheer for each other. The open team SJ course design is very "interesting" - a series of obstacles to be negotiated rather than a flowing course.

Good luck everyone this weekend.

Glad I wasn't the only one to have poor phone signal! We arrived home yesterday and I was very pleased to get in a nice shower and I fell into my bed! :D We had a lovely time... we went up to have a look at the dressage arenas on Thursday evening and were pleased to be event riders at heart! They were a bit up and down but we appreciated that everything had to be moved last second. Was very gutted not to be jumping in the Intermediate Eventing the course looked very nice and well presented and jumpable! Damn the course builders for making me feel so envious! I was told not to qualify next year before we went up, but we had such a pleasant time that Grandma changed her tune and on the way back said ''So you'll all qualify for the Open Dressage and Intermediate Eventing, right?''
