    Rescue dogs- all very depressing

That's what my friend did. She worked full time but intended to exercise her dog before and after work as well as having a dog walker half way through the day. So she told them she worked part time and got her rescue dog - who is now one of the most pampered dogs ever! They've just moved to the...

    Dog pooed in my car

Bicarbonate of soda is supposed to be good for removing smells. Maybe scrub the seat again with some vinagar water and then sprinkle with the bicarb. Dettol do a can of antibacterial spray that is very good too. Hope your dawg is making a speedy recovery.

    Book for future veterinary student

Really? That's good to know. I would have thought the majority of students would be male - I don't know why I thought that. I guess just because most of the vets at my surgery are male.

    Book for future veterinary student

My brother is applying to study veterinary medicine. It's his birthday soon and I want to get him a text book but I'm not sure which one. The main two I'm looking at are Black's Veterinary Dictionary and Introduction to Veterinary Anatomy & Physiology. Any thoughts on which (if any) would...

    credit crunch.....??? what credit crunch..????

When I read your first post it was good to see that not everyone is being affected by the credit crunch. But I find this comment extremely short sighted.... [ QUOTE ] i feel the only people who are "struggling" with the so-called credit crunch, are those who over stretched themselves when...

i have come to the conclusion

As a child I lived at the RS. As well as 1 formal lesson per week, I would spend all day every Saturday and Sunday mucking out, grooming, feeding, sweeping and cleaning tack, just for the chance to ride a pony bareback down to the field at the end of the day. When I finally did get my own pony I...

    Dogs (especially puppies) left alone?

I agree with Cala. If you were to get a puppy you would need to keep the pup and your staffy apart when you are not there as otherwise the pup would bond with your old dog instead of you. I've been told that for every minute a puppy spends with another dog, you need to put in twice that time...

    lump...

Take her to the vet. It could be nothing or it could be something more serious. My dog had three lumps removed. The large one I was worried about turned out to be a fatty cyst, but the smallest lump was a fibrosarcoma, which need aggressive surgery asap. He is absolutely fine and 6 months on...

    Best insurance?

I use Petplan too. They have been brilliant and have paid all my claims immediately (and there have been alot!). They also cover you for life for any condition where as lots of policies wont cover you for a condition on renewal or they refuse cover once your pet reaches a certain age.
