Rising 2! I hope she finds a nice home :(
You could use a lunging roller. You'd be able to girth that up and could attach stirrups so they get use to something hanging down / moving. I loosely tied the stirrups to the roller so they don't flap too much.
As I sit and read this post my eyes fill with tears.
I also find myself in a similar position. The horse is getting older, I'm over thinking every little thing, having to remind myself he's happy eating with the sun on his back; oblivious to the thoughts consuming my head. I love spending time...
What are your recommendations / how do you manage a horse who is spooky / tense in a particular part of arena.
I don't want to avoid the area but I want to limit the stress and have productive sessions.
Happy for groundwork or ridden ideas.
Thanks in advance
Try the equilab app. It gives you an idea of how much faster work you are doing whether hacking or schooling. I was surprised at how little trot / canter I was actually doing.
Thinking about doing my b+e license but before I do is there any setup car + trailer suitable which only b license would be necessary.
Happy for single trailer. Pony probably weighs around 400kg but I'd rather estimate at 500kg to make sure within limit legal and safely.
Thanks
Sorry to jump on post but talking of apps can anyone recommend an app for recording vaccines/teeth etc. Previously used stablemate (apple) but not available on android
Other than the trailer style tack boxes and lockable saddle racks has anyone got any good / less expensive ideas for how to store saddles at yard securely.
TIA
