I know that melanomas is a type of cancer (skin?) but I know nothing else of it, is it serious in horses?
The reason I ask is that I have seen a lovely mare that meets all of my requirments that has it under her tail, her ad says that it requires no treatments, shes 15.

I was once at a horse trial where a little yappy thing got off its lead and ran into the show jumping ring where a small girl was going round, the dog chased and bit at the horses ankles and the horse understandably spooked and did everything it could to get away from the dog, throwing the child...
I think people are struggling with livery prices at the moment too, or panicing about them and don't want to get tied into a contract.

That sounds at the error of the saddler, could you return it? Or has your horse changed shape a lot since your last saddle?
I'd find a saddler as apose to a bog standard tack shop saddle fitter as I've heard of a few bad reports from people all of different local fitters.
Birthdays for mine are an excuse for that new rug that i've had my eye on in the shop .. That really nice saddle cloth and those competition boots .. And for them to be generaly spoilt rotten with treats and guiness in their feed.. Also an excuse for a photo shoot

On the contary to what others on the forum have said about them being bolshy, I have found them to be charming and calm tempered horses.
Ofcourse occasionaly - like with any other...
