Wider stirrup treads are much better for sore feet, HM stirrups or I use Ez ride endurance stirrups :)

I have a dodgy ankle, I ride fairly long-ish as too short stirrups really hurt my ankle, but I use endurance stirrups and they are fab, really help with ankle and ball of foot pain.

I would always go treeless personally. Something like a Solution or an Ansur would probably suit your needs if you do a lot of jumping :)
