I rode yesterday for over an hour on Cannock chase! It was amazing! Cantering along the snowy paths was awesome! We have a few hundred yards of road but it had been gritted so no worries with cars. The snow on the chase was really deepin places my horse didn't slip or falter once... But we are...
Jackbobs... My boy is 19 months and I competed a lot last season, ran a small business from home, worked part time 3 days a week and took our boy with us to endurance comps staying overnight many times... Had a fantastic year! My boy is amazing, love him more than anything. We also got another...

:D
I was back in the saddle just under 3 weeks after giving birth and that was with stitches. I'd ridden to 33 weeks pregnant and only gave up as I felt I was so heavy! Lol
I'm certainly not brave or handy enough for a power tool but I do have one of the above (Stanley surform) but the ultimate tools for trimming yourself has to be the Radius Rasp, my barefoot horses have never been better since using these at 2 weekly intervals :)...
It totally depends on your horse to how much ground work you will need to do, when I went bitless I just rode in a halter as I just wanted to bin the bit! She was great so never looked back. I think the orbital and flower are quite similar in action. I'd give it a go, you've got a better horse...
I ride my horse bitless because I don't like bits! My darling horse to be honest would endure any awful contraption but why should she? She's an angel and I quite happily ride bridle less too! (That's an amazing feeling!) never listen to people who are giving advise like that!
The flower...
I use a flower hackamore, much milder than other hackamores and looks smart too :) I arena event in it with perfect control. Have you got a school you can try out bitless first? Or use with a bit but only swap if you feel the bitless is not giving you the control you need, then once you've built...
Great! Thank you :) finally a proper answer.... I've seen those rugs, called Coolheat rugs, dying to try one out! What do you think of them?
My problem with most rugged horses is they do no or little work, get clipped out then need rigging which in actual fact they could just be left hairy...
No you did not read right... I said I would ring or text to tell the owner about the horse with no food and a 14 hour imprisonment ahead of it to gain their advise as to what they want me to do...
And the horses are not being managed for anything everyone does not know about because we are...
I was joking, in fact you can ask any of my fellow liveries who would all say that I was helpful and friendly and took them on amazing hacks that they them talk about for weeks after. Funny that they all come to me for advice...
This is a forum... Is it not? Aren't we mean to have heated...
