This horse in question is to loan not buy, and its a pollen allergy. My vets advised possible giving it piriton tablets to calm it down, and he currently wears a net. Owner says he is totally safe, and its only on the hottest of summer days it affects him.

imo straw is heavier, and you tend to take half the bedding out with the muck, and most of time the poo falls through the fork! Shavings on the other had is much easier, lighter work, you just take out the wet and or muck without taking any of the bedding. My horses seem to be much more cleaner...

Thanks for your replys! He's 15.1 MW irish cob. Id want to do cob classes with him. Hes been shown locally and wins evertime out. A few judges said he could do well at county. (he came 2nd in cob class at YHOYS a 2yrs ago)
