I was a part of the previous post :D
After reading the description on your boy Ben, I just had to comment as you basically described my big lad!
He spooks and snorts, at anything and everything, but not only does he spook, he decides to "kick out" at the invisible thing that scared him in...
Surely their rugs should have been fitted well if you were working there!? I joke.
Yes I understand your point, but all I'm saying is cut her some slack. She's had the bottle to post on here asking for help and advice, not criticism.
None of us know whether she's rugging up...
There is some truth in your post where people do put rugs on horses incorrectly, and fit them incorrectly, but relating that to horses being grumpy about it isn't always the case.
I had a horse (an ex racer at that) who HATED being rugged up with a passion. I vert much doubt she'd been...
You're very welcome, I don't agree when people throw blame around when they don't know you! You aren't a failure at all, you're just going through a tough time and its nice to see you've turned to look for help, its the first step!
I would snap up all the offers as you have nothing to loose...
It doesn't necessarily mean she's doing them wrong "/ I had a mare that hated her rugs being done and looked like she would take your face off, but I wasn't doing them wrong.
Some horses are extra sensitive, and some don't like being fussed over. I think she's having a hard enough time as it...
From reading most of the posts, it just sounds like he is grumpy in the stable and doesn't like his rugs being done?
I used to have a mare that, if looks could kill, she would have you 10x over because she hated being brushed, rugged up, tacked up or even touched! It doesn't mean she hated...
That would have been my way too!! Be just as outrageous as they were, you steal from me, I steal back :) haha!
Its very true about the law and it has certainly given me a wake up call, you aren't as protected as you think you are.
Yes that would be a good idea, we could post stating something like....Beware of this dealer/vet/person etc in the such and such area, then all people related to that area can PM for further details. No rule breaking, but people will have a pre-warning and hopefully help stop all the heartache...
I know its awful. I don't want to go into full details, as it isn't my place to say but I am a friend. I know the horse was threatened to just "disappear".
You're right about knowing what they can and can't do with regards to the law. From what I've learnt with this story is, it seems to...
I agree, everyone has their own opinions too. I also think private sellers can be worse than dealers as they don't have a reputation to hold so feel they can tell more lies and ask higher prices as the buyers are wooed into the thought that private sellers "know the horse better" or their "full...
I agree, if anyone would like to know who this scoundral is.....feel free to inbox me! I would love to save people a lot of heartache and teach him a lesson for what he put the poor girl through!!
