I am a carriage driver and it drives me mad when people hold the reins like this. It is amazing how many riders will pick up driving reins and hold them upside down. The scary thing is when I correct people I am teaching they say that is how they ride too! Now, I am sure this cant be right...

I used to just hack and my horse went for long rides more or less every day and was fit and well and interested in life. Surely most people that hack go out every day? I specifically went for a TB that hadnt competed because they were cheap and it was all I could afford.
