Do any of the Equine solicitors do a free half an hour consultation? I need some advice on a horse issue, but can’t use bhs, as I’ve already spoken to them with them on another part of the case. Home/car insurance etc doesn’t have a legal helpline

I’m suprised if a horse behaviourist would come out if they think there might be a chance the horse may have a veterinary problem. Unless they are local, and cheap, I wouldn’t bother at this stage tbh. (The ones I’ve used have been next to useless). Get him in for scoping...

I too would be considering livery (or sending to a friend) for a month or so. After all, how many posts on here advise people simply just to turn up at a yard and take away horses...

Id be making sure they have veterinary insurance in place... and that they’ve paid for the horse in full

I’ve seen horses come out of goresbridge with a vet very showing “problems” that wouldnt have passed the vetting in uk

I don’t feed it if my horses are being fed a on mix/nuts as it’s just a waste of bucket space and my money. However if they need a token feed, chaff is great, one bag lasts forever!

Would it be worth calling before I go to see if they likely to have anything in stock

I’m potentially looking at getting a set (or pair for the fronts) of good boots for my horse. Has been barefoot for a few years, but only ever been in light work, and she’s not coping with stoney tracks at my new yard. I’m aware you can get second hand ones, but where do I even start knowing...

If well managed shouldn’t cause a problem. 99% of horses should take to it

Just read this thread out of interest. However, from what I’ve read elsewhere on the net, I gather there are gazillions of saddles there... I have a very awkward to fit horse, that i need a very cheap jumping saddle for. It’s about an hour down the road from me, is it worth going...

Any ideas?
