Hello
The wonderful horse I have had on loan is back with his real mummy and she is desperately trying to find a good (full livery if poss) yard for him near where she lives but is having no luck.
Does anyone know of a nice yard with good turnout within about 45 mins of Portsmouth?
PM me if...
Really pleased with mine. I use the team up snaffle as it goes down to 12mm thick and gives tongue relief too. My horse is much happier and has gone better in this bit than any other I've tried.
Used them ages ago and they were very very good. Went down when they had just been taken over and not so impressed. Maybe changed now, after transition period.....
Hi
Due to unforeseen circumstances I need to find a good full livery yard in the North Bucks/Beds, or South Northants area. I know of MKEC but can anyone recommend any others too?
Many thanks
I'm in Newport Pagnell but keep my horse at my friends house in Brackley, so I know Wicken very well!
I have a fab instructor who comes from Northampton but I had to twist his arm to come to Brackley (and he usually does three of us at a time) so I'm not sure he'd come any further - but he...
No, I think that's acceptable - in fact it's exactly what I did.
My instructor now comes over once or twice a month on his days off and the lessons are great.
I need to buy a new girth. Well, actually I just fancy an elasticated one! My current one is 52" from end to end including buckles, but only 47" not including the buckles.
I'm having a brain strain - which measurement do I buy? Thanks!
Thanks, that's made me feel a better already about my decision. I know I'll probably have a hooligan on my hands come March (!) but it'll be better than feeling guilty about not riding him often enough.
This is my first winter with my horse I have on loan and I'm starting to struggle to ride him very often with these dark evenings coming in so early. I'm thinking about giving him some time off over winter (maybe Jan/Feb when the weather gets fowl). He's out 24/7 with three others, and is doing...
Thanks everyone, I'm going to go for one with an attached neck as he's out 24/7, prob the weatherbeeta (as these fit him well) or the Fal. Thanks again for the suggestions.
