Hello,
My TB is 17.2hh , but 16.3hh if he didn't have withers!!
We had a saddle specially made from this company;

They are so good, come out to measure and fit, and mine (a close contact GP in 2 colours using English leather) was £600. Matching bridle was...
Aye I knew a few women who used this on their horses...and then were mentally challenged enough to complain when their horses came out in big lumps :-(
I used to hide the bottles!
Buy bl**dy coatshine, why are some people so tight???
I too use the Ikea steps, although my Mum's Clydesdale has become rather partial to eating them :-(
I qualified for the SEIB XC finals a couple of years ago, and when we went to the finals I realised I had no way of getting on to my 17.2hh TB (who is very fidgety, especially at events). I...
If you use hot water it only takes 5 minutes.
Can be used as a mash, very good for horses who struggle to keep weight on.
Please tell us you've added water to it???
Hello,
Just a quick note to say I got an £8 set of steps from Ikea and they are brilliant for mounting, plaiting etc. I've got a 17.2 horse so steps are sadly vital ;-)
Hi everyone,
Further to my last post, I have put Risk on the Bailey's No.6 Endurance Mix which has the same amount of protein as the Calm and Condition, and he's doing brilliantly. Eating all of his tea, and generally very happy (and VERY shiny!!)
Thank you all so much for your advice, he's a...
Hi everyone,
First of all, can I thank you all for taking the time to help me with this issue. I can't believe the response I've had as a newcomer to this forum.
I took your advice and spoke to Bailey's today, they were absolutely brill and I was on the phone to them for the best part of half an...
Hi,
Just to add to the superb answers above, my TB used to weave terribly when I first got him. We found that it got worse if his routine was interrupted at all. I have him in a huge stable now and he also has access to the yard at night if he wants to pop in and out (until bedding down at 11pm)...
Thank you so much, all three of you.
I quite agree Box_of_Frogs, why prescribe anti-biotics if it's a feed related issue. I normally trust my vet 100% but this has thrown me a little. She did reassure me though that there was minimal damage to his vessles and valves as i called her the second...
Wow! Someone replied! Thank you so much :-)
I think I will try the feed companies, I just wonder if they are likely to tell me a totally different tale...so far I can't make my mind up WHAT to think.
Had horses 25 years, always looked after them myself, and have never felt so totally ignorant...
Hi,
I'm new, so apologies if this has been covered already / if I post incorrectly.
I have a 17 y.o. TB gelding whom I keep at home. I feed him haylage (lovely quality, has been on it for 4 years with no problems) and have been feeding calm and condition during the summer. He hates it as it's...
Hello,
I'm new here, I thought you may like to hear about how I brought back my TB gelding, Risk, after a tendon injury.
It's been 18 months since he first went lame, and initially we thought he was going to have to retire. The ultrasound showed a hole the size of a pencil lead's diameter in his...
