Hi there, just looking for some advice about my 13 year old tb mare. She got diagnosed with arthritus in her hock a few months ago. We had all the xrays done which showed the change, we then went down the steriod injection route and now she is being lightly ridden 3 -5 days a week in walk...

Ah hero, I am going to purchase a micklem bridle for my 15.3 tb mare with a cob sized head. The micklem have different sizing, what size would I need to aim for? Standard horse or small horse? I don't want to buy the wrong one. Much love xx

I think it was a bit too much for her. She reared up whilst running backwards and fell over landing on me, she stood on my leg to get up and trampled me kicking me in the head with her back legs. Luckily no broken bones! Just extremely bruised. Shes fine as well :)

Thank you timefort! I always do the school thing and I always wait for her to cool off then give her a feed so I might just feed her in the mornings and not give her a feed when we get back! Maybe thats a reason shes rushing back. Its only on the way home. On the way out she is spooky and...

Thank you for your replys. Obviously roadrunner was trying to live up to his name :) I might Try the treat thing I used that when I was trying to get her to stop bolting off in the field when I took her head collar off and it worked! :D
