I took my 1 in March this year and wore a navy v-neck jumper with a shirt and tie for my stage 1. I got the jumper from gap and the tie was a £1 from a charity shop! As I was doing the riding section as well I had jobs and boots but yes ruth83 is correct you can wear a tidy pair of trousers...
